JOB SUMMARY

Performs diagnostic computed tomography scan images. Produces quality computed tomography exam images and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides for patient care and initiates life support measures as necessary. Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff and health care workers. Must possess the skills and knowledge to operate CT equipment to produce quality CT scans. Must be able to perform related procedures and protocols. Has the ability to learn and utilize new technology as well as orient new employees. Possesses the ability to professionally obtain information from patients or their responsible parties to further improve their personalized treatment and care. On a continuum, the CT technologist works to develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status. Works with all age groups.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

We run general Radiography and CT at both sites. CT experience preferred but not required. Our shifts cover during the day starting at 7:00 or 7:30 until 5:00 alternating between Tracy and Westbrook sites. there is after hours call coverage opposite of clinic hours including weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be Registered with the ARRT or Certified with the Minnesota Department of Health. Must be able to operate all Radiographic equipment. Must be able to type, use computer, and operate CR / PACS System. Must be CPR Certified annually. Completion of formal radiographic technology training in an AMA-approved school.
