Department Details

Assist with quality assurance programs as directed by Diagnostic Medical Physicist. Primary responsibilities with be to radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment. Mostly day hours, but may need to run QC tests during off hours when equipment is available.

Job Summary

Plans, schedules, and implements quality processes according to organizational quality standards. Oversees the maintenance and replacement program for all equipment within Sanford. Coordinates professional accreditations and support state and federal requirements. Supports the Physicist in Radiation Safety operations. Consistently projects a friendly, cooperative impression and positive image of the institution when dealing with patients, employees, visitors, and medical staff members. Possesses excellent communication skills, positive and professional attitude, and establishes and maintains good interpersonal relationships. Respects and maintains confidentiality of all verbal and written communications. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. Flexible and rapidly response to and/or facilitates planned organizational changes. Demonstrates leadership qualities to provide direction and serve as a resource to staff and customers. Possesses self-direction with a high level of accountability and the ability to work with minimal to no supervision. Deals discreetly with sensitive confidential information.


Bachelor’s degree is required.

Completion of an education program and clinical experience accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required.

Minimum of three years’ experience in a high volume setting or experience with quality principles is required. Knowledge of quality control procedures and instruments used to measure quality; picture archiving and communication system (PACS), computers, and radiographic workflow techniques. Joint Commission (TJC) requirements desired. Demonstrated leadership and/or teaching experience is preferred.
