JOB SUMMARY

Provides support by acquiring, compiling, and analyzing information relevant to industry policies.

Will stay abreast of policy issues relating to state and federal industry regulations and provide analysis to maintain compliance and improve the operations of the organization..

Follows laws and regulations to implement basic administrative support for operations. Facilitation of planning meetings and lead cross-functional teams to execute compliance plans is also required. Provides education, training events, conducts public speaking, and create communication pieces for staff and any other identifiable or industry-specific work group or stakeholders.

Reviews and ensures relevant documents and other necessary files are in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. Displays accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to seek out, read, and understand research. Works in conjuncture with compliance team and legal counsel and others as needed. Will also undertake special projects as assigned.

Analyzes current policies and reports on findings to support standardization throughout the enterprise. Works collaboratively with other departments to draft and develop content for policies. Researches regulations and best practices to assist in the development and revision of Sanford policies.Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data for any trends for the development of new policies or the strengthening of existing policies. Assists in the proofreading, formatting, fact checking and reviewing of draft documents, presentations, and data analysis on behalf of policy strategy. Passionate about progress and implementing change, strong communicator, and have an analytical approach to interpreting and reporting on data. Assists in the development and implementation of major new policy initiatives and planning and coordinating policy related workshops and meetings. Works with key stakeholders to determine the needs, concerns, and viewpoints of policies, and to understand the goals. Takes independent initiative and actively and fully participates in helping to develop the policy department’s yearly goals and objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews and ensures compliance with relevant organizational and legal policies and procedures. Checks documents thoroughly according to standard processes and procedures. Identifies major document management categories and functions. Demonstrates experience participating in productive collaborative processes. Identifies tasks or outputs that require accuracy and detail-level attention. Processes large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy. Consult with organizational leadership as necessary to address issues.

•Strong technical skills including Word, Excel and Abode platforms.

•Demonstrate strong attention to details and data accuracy.

•Must demonstrate strong writing and editing skills and convey information on complex issues both verbally and in writing using data and reasoning, and possess the ability to speak in formal and informal settings.

•Must be able to work independently and must have the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding matters of significance.

•Be able to communicate effectively

•Work with integrity and be reliable; look for ways to improve and monitor own work to ensure quality; meet deadlines

•Possess an ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the association.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree.

Experience in one of the following is preferred: Public Policy, Health Policy, Political Science or Journalism.
