Self-directed with a high level of accountability and require minimal supervision. Must be able to function as a resource for employees, outside vendors and in-house departments regarding concerns, technical questions, interpretation of policies and procedures, communication, resolution of workflow and process issues and functions. Provides leadership and technical expertise to department employees in areas of responsibility. Aware of department goals and distributes work in areas of responsibility in order to achieve desired goals. Orients and trains new employees and serves as a mentor to department employees. Emphasizes accuracy, productivity and completion of work within established time frames. Follows up on missing information, documents and records by interacting with other departments. Works with management team to address staffing variances related to workload. Makes recommendations regarding process improvement, staffing, budget considerations, and service excellence and employee satisfaction issues to the management team.


Technical expertise in processes within team scope. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Desire to interact with staff on a daily basis. Must be able to utilize all office equipment and software associated with the position. Well organized with the ability to mentor and lead staff. Ability to teach others. Flexibility and a willingness to implement new ideas. Ability to work in a team environment. Willingness and ability to make decisions and be accountable for the same. Compassion and an understanding nature. Outstanding professionalism, poise and tact. Work hours include day, evening, night, and weekend shifts and occasional holidays. Variations in shifts may occur.


Responsible for Women's Internal Medicine and OBGYN at the Plaza location.


If working with coders, must have coding certification. High School graduation is required. Some college courses are preferred.
