Responsible for the strategy and oversight community programs and services to meet the needs of health care consumers in their daily lives. Collaborates with inpatient services and community partners to create a continuum of care for patients, pre and post-healthcare encounter.
The Director, Community Programs assists in the coordination and implementation of grant projects, service agreements, and contracts to help assure the success of the program, working closely with the Sanford grant's office. Reviews service data and statistics to determine business development opportunities. Responsible for overall operational management and leadership of department. Responsible for the interviewing, hiring, discipline of employees and any other personnel issues that arise. Completes performance appraisals. Exercises good judgement in determining the best method for handling a variety of situations. Strong analytical skills with ability to drive change and manage programs essential. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
Keeps team focused on executing the priorities on which success will depend. Helps solve business problems and meet business goals through collaborative processes. Develops a clear, complete understanding of needs and problems through careful listening, probing, reflecting, and summarizing. Models a consistently analytical basis for decision making. Oversees multiple data-gathering and analysis initiatives. Supervises budget management activities across multiple departments or functions. Champions new ideas, methodologies and practices that drive individual and group productivity. Plans, implements, and manages change in a variety of significant settings. Reviews contracts to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulations. Ensures business priorities take first place and adjusts work effort accordingly.
IMPORTANT: The individual hired for this role will be responsible for Community Programs, which includes Lactation Services and the Camping Program and will also serve as Director, Clinic for MB2 Pediatric Clinic.
Bachelor's degree in education, healthcare, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
Five years of relevant experience preferred.
Current valid driver's license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers.
