The Culture and Engagement Consultant supports the innovation, development and implementation of culture and employee engagement strategies and tactics, aligned with Sanford’s mission and core values, to drive meaningful employee experiences across the employee lifecycle.
In support of employee experience initiatives, this role designs impactful and sustainable engagement, retention and culture change interventions enterprise wide. Supports the realization of enterprise-wide strategic priorities and objectives of the business from a culture and employee engagement perspective.
Using a data drive approach, identifies underlying causes of problem areas, develops and recommends short and long-term strategies and best-in-class initiatives to promote and achieve a culture of excellence, high engagement and retention of top talent. Supports the Organizational and Talent Effectiveness team, Employee Experience team and HRSPs to implement such initiatives.
Actively monitors and measures culture, turnover and engagement to discern patterns and trends to increase awareness, drive action planning and leadership accountability. Supports the creation of surveys and assessments as needed.
Maintains an ongoing pulse on employee engagement and culture through focus groups, surveys, town halls, and other methods.
Supports the development of processes, procedures, tools and guidelines that increase employee engagement and build employee experience capabilities enterprise wide.
Partners with Total Rewards team to contribute to the development of recognition strategies and programs.
Supports engagement and culture strategies through innovative communication tactics and tells Sanford's story in a consistent voice.
Maintains a constant flow of information, leveraging varied methods including development of leadership messaging, engagement materials, townhalls, leadership forums, manager and employee toolkits, video/audio and other forms of social media technology.
Cultivate trusted partnerships with stakeholders to help influence how the organization thinks about strategic culture change and associate engagement.
Researches modern and leading-edge engagement technologies and practices to manage and analyze employee engagement and culture.
Supports change management strategies and plans that maximize adoption while minimizing resistance to achieve successful outcomes.
Understands the healthcare marketplace and Sanford's strategic enterprise and regional plans in order to effectively support engagement and culture strategies that create business value and results.
Exhibits ability to participate on collaborative and professional teams with proven ability to build strong relationships. Demonstrates analytic, presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop compelling messaging for diverse audiences and drive groups to consensus and outcomes. Displays a growth, learning mindset and is ready to promote new ideas and situations regularly.
Quickly builds trusting relationships to provide practical, as well as visionary, solutions and services. Utilizes emotional intelligence and situational awareness to adapt approach, build credibility and confidence. Creates connections with leaders in order to support strategic initiatives, influence culture, identify organizational trends, and build relationships.
Bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology, human resources, organizational development, human resources, or related discipline. Master’s preferred.
Minimum of three years’ progressive strategic human resources experience within a large, matrixed organization. Expertise in talent management, organization effectiveness, employee engagement, or related field.
Experience in developing and implementing employee engagement and culture programs and initiatives.
Experience and expertise in both quantitative and qualificative analyses. Advanced knowledge of statistical calculations and analytic methods preferred.
Experience with a variety of employee engagement surveys, assessments and pulsing tools.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and analyses simultaneously while being able to meet deadlines
Experience in presenting complex ideas in simple terms to all levels of the organization and using effective storytelling techniques that are impactful and visually insightful.
Ability to work independently, anticipates needs, exercises judgment, and productively executes amid ambiguity.
Proven results in taking action, and offering solutions and alternatives to complex data situations; attention to detail, and highly skilled in problem-solving.
Experience with technology solutions to drive talent, leadership and culture strategies and a track record of driving talent outcomes through technology innovation and automation.
Previous experience working with business stakeholders in a cross-functional matrix environment.
Demonstrated leadership presence and maturity, with a proven ability to build relationships with senior leaders and followership with all levels of the organization.
Experience contributing to high-impact HR function that drives successful business outcomes.
Proven track record in creating collaborative and influential partnerships with HR Strategic Partners and stakeholders to create alignment between business strategy, goals, behaviors, and culture to drive performance.
Experience in a growth organization where ambiguity, quick decision-making and change agility skills are an everyday occurrence.
Proficient experience in business productivity tools (e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint).
