Job Responsibilities

The Executive Director - Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) is responsible for the overall leadership and management of HCBS agencies in the Nebraska region, including meeting established goals and outcomes, ensuring regulatory and organization compliance, directing and coordinating work, financial and operational stability, implementing and building on strategy, policies, and procedures; and demonstrating spiritual leadership. This is a work from home/virtual office/remote position; frequent travel across Nebraska region and to Sioux Falls, SD, is expected.

What you will do

-Manages Risk Assigns responsibility to an individual(s) for the daily management of infection prevention and control activities. Provides equipment/supplies and access to information needed to support the infection prevention and control program. Responsible to create and maintain a culture of safety. Ensures a safety program is in place with scheduled inspections making corrections as necessary. Provides equipment and supplies to ensure a safe environment. Assures resident rights are protected and that all residents, families and significant others are made aware of those rights. Ensures HIPAA compliance. Responsible for ensuring a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program is in place.

-Manages Communication and Documentation Expresses ideas clearly, concisely and effectively both orally and in writing. Requests ongoing feedback on task performance. Communicates upward and downward within the organization appropriately and in a timely fashion. Ensures documentation and reports are completed as required by regulations and/or policy and procedure.

-Demonstrates Business Expertise Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of local and regional economics and service needs within the industry. Adapts and embraces the organizational culture. Seeks to learn and utilizes appropriate equipment and trends in technology. Completes all required training. Attends required meetings and provides appropriate feedback. Is involved within the community in at least one organized community service group.

-Manages People Directs or delegates appropriately the recruitment and selection of competent staff and coordinates necessary training. Provides supervision, coaching and mentoring based on staff needs. Follows up thoroughly and consistently; holds self and others accountable. Ensures supervisory staff is trained to supervise, provide feedback and facilitate correction fairly and consistently. Completes regular performance appraisals for direct reports; supports the professional development of staff.

-Manages Systems and Process Is accountable for day-to-day responsibilities. Implements Society and Region-specific strategic operational initiatives.

Qualifications

You're qualified for this position if You meet all qualifications outlined below.

-A bachelor's degree with some course work in business and human resources. Prefer Health Care Administration degree. Location will determine experience required. RN licensure is not required.

-Previous experience in Home Health, Hospice, or other in home services preferred, including knowledge of regulations, compliance standards, and reimbursement programs.

-Must be an active member of a Christian church.

-Must be able to speak and write English and be able to articulate clearly and audibly. Financial understanding, general understanding of reimbursement and business application of Microsoft Office programs. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with conflict and embrace diversity in the workplace.

-Understanding of state and federal regulations and/or statutes. Able to analyze and interpret general business applications, legal documents, professional journals and technical procedures.
