Work with a great team to care for our rural patient population in a critical access hospital with high complexity testing. Includes an attached clinic as well as the hospital with emergency department, obstetrical unit, and surgical unit.

Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Follows standard operating procedures and ensures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met. Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel and collaborates with other departments across the enterprise. Demonstrates critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Associates degree (or) Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science required.
Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT), or equivalent through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency. For example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); or be registry eligible.
Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment.
Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications. We offer many opportunities to complete continuing education requirements while fulfilling job duties in the lab.
May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
