JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and execution of multiple types of events/programs within thenetwork community.

  • Provides a positive organizational image to the network community.

  • Actively participates within the community and its health initiative sponsored by Sanford.

  • Interacts with local schools, Chambers of Commerce and community businesses in order to improve Sanford's visibility and presence within the community.

  • May be responsible for a local newsletter and internal communication of Sanford programs and initiatives.

  • Develops communications such as presentations, in order to share with the public, trustees, community organizations, localfoundation and media.

  • Partners with marketing to assist with the execution of the local marketing plan.

  • When necessary, serves as a representative on local boards. Must be comfortable with regular face-to-face communication.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills required.

  • Must be organized. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

  • Certain events will require working time on the weekends and evenings.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

This is a full time position working 64hrs/pp.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Details: Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Area of focus in marketing, public relations, or communications preferred.

Experience Details: Experience working within community relations/public affairs and event coordinator is preferred.

License/Certification Details: Depending on location, may require current valid driver’s license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers.
