JOB SUMMARY

Administers speech and language evaluations, tests or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for patients with various speech problems and swallowing disorders. Assesses patients with various speech or language problems and develops individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses. Provides speech and language services to patients; monitors disease progression and adjusts treatments accordingly. Instructs patients in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises; provides consultation for patients working through speech and language treatment processes. Ensures all speech and language related standards, policies, protocols and quality requirements are met.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a PRN position to cover Coordinated Treatment Clinics for Children's Therapy regularly approximately 3 half days/month and fill in as needed for maternity leave. This position will at located at our SouthPointe building.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS

This is a PRN position to cover Coordinated Treatment Clinics for Children's Therapy regularly approximately 3 half days/month and fill in as needed for maternity leave.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech Therapist.Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).When applicable, may require valid driver's license. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment. Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
