The RN functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the state specific Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules. The Sanford Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation for nursing care delivery. The RN is responsible for utilizing the professional nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an ambulatory setting. The RN cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patients move in and out of ambulatory care settings. The RN is responsible for the coordination of care, patient screenings, patient education, triage, and various other medical interventions. A sampling of some of the specialized clinical skills that may be performed includes, but is not limited to, age related patient assessment and intervention, sterile field preparation, assists with minor office procedures and IV therapy. Potential to float to other departments. May delegate to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their defined scope of practice as well as students and new orients. #featuredjob
Cardiac Device Registered Nurse
Perform follow up testing of all cardiac rhythm management devices in clinic and hospital settings including remote monitoring. Device checks include post-operative implants, MRI’s and cardioversions. Also Involved with Research
ECG, arrhythmia/dysrhythmia knowledge, required.
Electrophysiology/Device experience preferred.
Background in cardiology and/or critical care settings preferred.
BLS and ACLS required.
We will provide an extensive training program for the Cardiac Device RN. Training will involve preforming device checks, trouble shooting and being able to identify normal verses abnormal device behavior. Training may involve independent self-study.
Monday to Friday full-time 80 hours every two weeks. Start time will vary from 7am to 8:30am and end time will vary from 3:30pm to 5pm. Rotate weekend post op hospital checks, typical Saturday 7-9am. Travel involved to Outreach Clinic’s once a month, 10 to 12 hour shift
Currently licensed with the applicable State Nursing Board and/or possess multistate licensure privileges. Functions within the legal scope of practice. Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred. Minimum of one to two years of professional nursing experience in a clinic care setting preferred. In-depth knowledge of specialty area preferred.
