Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is looking for an individual who wants to make an impact on patient care using informatics as an instrumental tool for improvement. This position will have an emphasis in daytime clinical informatics duties embedded within the hospital pharmacy. What a great opportunity to have a great impact on patient care!

The pharmacy department works closely with other disciplines and hospital leadership across many of our specialties to better serve our patients and to continually advance our practice. We have three hospitals with 500+ total beds in Fargo ND including a new hospital which opened in 2017. Primary responsibilities will include:
-Data collection/analysis from various pharmacy operations and EMR related sources
-Process analysis and improvement initiatives
-Collaboration with pharmacy management and interdisciplinary teams on projects and initiatives
-Advancement of automation related processes
-Automation implementation and troubleshooting
-EMR (Epic) optimization projects
-Ongoing tasks related to pharmacy processes/billing etc.
-Work with 340b team on related projects/initiatives
-Work with the Informatics Pharmacy Supervisor in defining and addressing clinical informatics issues.
This position will also have a small staffing component to help ensure understanding of current processes, identify issues/inefficiencies, and most importantly to participate in the direct care of our patients.
In a medical center or institutional setting: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations. Hospital experience or residency preferred.
License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.
