Hours Per Shift: 8 hr
Responsible to manage the comprehensive pedorthic patient care under the direction of a physician's prescription. This includes patient assessment as well as the formulation and implementation of a treatment plan.
Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Performs at least 2-3 concurrent activities without reducing productivity. Effectively performs the technical job aspects, continuously building knowledge and keeping up-to-date on technical and procedural job components. Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate. Learns and uses resources the organization has to assess and enhance team motivation. Asks questions to validate the understanding of the subject matter. Adapts interaction style to situations and people. Anticipates customer needs, focusing efforts to proactively meet needs and exceed customer expectations. Demonstrates proficiency with using all basic office support software. Demonstrates experience participating in productive collaborative processes. Ensures an appropriate flow of communications within the team. Uses active listening skills and probing techniques to understand cause of a conflict. Makes sound recommendations when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.
The person will evaluate, mold, and fabricate orthotic devices for people with complex foot conditions.
Certification in Pedorthics through the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC) is required. Must possess a valid class D driver's license. Must maintain a good driving record. High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one year experience in direct client care under the direct or indirect supervision of a privileged orthotic or pedorothic practitioner preferred. Must have completed the schooling necessary to become certified as a Certified Pedorthist.
