JOB SUMMARY

The Learning and Development Specialist is a blended role working with Continuing Medical Education and Center for Learning Activities. The Learning and Development Special will review and accredit education for physicians. The review will require understanding of compliance and regulatory guidelines; therefore, experience in health care and/or education is desired. The Learning and Development Specialist will work with many disciplines across the health care continuum. The role will oversee tracking of education and accreditation standards so attention to detail is important. Opportunities for this role may include use of technology, project management, and working closely with a physician advisory board. Within the Center for Learning the Learning and Development Specialist will be flexible, self – motivated and a quick learner with knowledge of health care environments. The Learning and Development Specialist will have the opportunity to utilize his/her leadership skills working with many disciplines across the health care continuum. In addition, attention to detail, collaboration and being technologically savy is a must. Opportunities for the Learning and Development Specialist may include but is not limited to reporting, tracking of data and project management. Travel to other Sanford sites within metro area during the work day with rare weekend and early morning as needed. Additional tasks/assignments as delegated/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/licensure as appropriate and/or required by course content. Education and experience background as appropriate to class offering. Bachelor's Degree in a health, education and training, or business related field or equivalent experience preferred. Experience in education programming, project or event management and advanced skills in Microsoft Office. Skills to manage projects, facilitate change processes and effectively communicate to achieve organizational goals. Ability to interact with staff and leaders in a fast paced environment while remaining, calm, flexible, positive resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism. Knowledge of Sanford policies and processes related to the course being presented.
