Job Summary

Ability to assist, review, analyze and help design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, or prevent injuries caused by various ergonomic factors. Documenting, interpreting and use of appropriate testing/evaluation techniques to assess past, present, and future injuries.

Utilizing appropriate assistive devices to protect clients from injury. Focus in form development for rehab, injury prevention and employee health for Sanford programs. Ability to recommend organizational processes or policy changes. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications with ability to learn various programs utilized in the provision of care. This Athletic Trainer will coordinate, perform, and carry out Occupational Medicine (Occ Med) Injury Prevention programs. This includes performing routine testing, sampling and other technical services to support Occupational Medicine and Employee Health Services.

Works closely with the rehab, clinic, and injury prevention leaders to maintain standardization of these programs. Services included, but not limited to: job function tests, ergonomic assessment, functional capacity evaluations, job site analysis, drug screening, breath alcohol screening, audio screening, phlebotomy, and other routine testing.


Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.

Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification and be licensed and/or registered in state(s) of practice

and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position.

Based on facility needs, driver's license may be required and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category I or III drivers.
