Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant | Occupational Therapy | Canby

Hours Per Shift: 8 hr
Assists patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of an occupational therapist, to improve patients' quality of life and ability to perform daily activities. Provides, monitors and records rehabilitative services for patients suffering from mental, physical, emotional or developmental impairments, in line with related standard concepts, practices and procedures. Records patients' progress for occupational therapists and adjusts treatments when they do not generate the intended effect or the patient is not improving as expected. Prepares equipment and materials for treatment; assists patients and provides encouragement to make sure that they correctly perform treatments. Performs clerical duties for the department, including scheduling appointments, answering calls, restocking or ordering depleted supplies, completing insurance forms and preparing patients' health insurance-related bills or other paperwork.
This is a temporary position; potential to get up to 32 hours per week.
Conforms to licensing standards of the state of Minnesota and South Dakota. Driver's License and auto insurance required. Graduate of an accredited program for Occupational Therapy Assistants. Previous experience with occupational therapy is desirable.
