Assists in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with pulmonary disorders; analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimen collections along with lung capacity measurements of patients.┬á May include collecting sputum, blood and breath specimens for diagnosis and analysis. Performs regular assessments of patients and the equipment they are using in order to adjust oxygen levels as needed.┬á Analyzes patients' blood and other specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases.┬á Measures the patients lung capacity to determine if there are any impairments.┬á Offers diagnosis results and treatment suggestions based on the analysis of the patient.
We offer flexible shift options with 4, 8 and 12 hour shifts.
Must hold a RRT license through the NBRC (if the credential was received after July 1, 2002) within twelve months of employment and maintain active status according to NBRC credentialing requirements. Must be registered as a Respiratory Therapist with the North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care. CPR and ACLS certifications required within 3 months of employment, re-certification as required. NRP and PALS certifications required within 3 months of joining the NICU/PICU team, re-certification as required. Graduate of an American Medical Association (approved by the NBRC) Respiratory Therapy school.
