Job Title: Unit Secretary | Orthopedics & Outpatient Rehab | Bemidji

Hours Per Shift: 8 hr
Performs clerical services and tasks for a specific unit in healthcare facilities.
Answering phone calls and responding to patients' inquires about healthcare programs and services. Receiving and dispatching correspondence for designated unit. Assisting with administrative tasks for a specific healthcare unit, such as ordering supplies and scheduling. Collaborating to create and maintain a clean environment within healthcare facilities.
Uses organizational skills to determine resource needs and priorities. Uses scheduling tools and technologies to create and maintain a schedule. Works with all basic office support products. Perform various clerical or administrative functions, such as ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies. Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports. Greet visitors/callers or staff and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs. Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals. Strives to complete assignments according to established quality measures. Demonstrates open, friendly, accepting, and supportive behaviors with team members. Takes personal ownership of and strives to meet assigned accountability expectations.
Position is PRN (working as needed, not benefits eligible). Shifts vary Monday-Friday from 6a-6p. Possible 8 hour shifts include 6-2:30p, 8-4:30p, 7:30-4p, and 9:30-6p.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
May require CPR certification dependent upon department.
