Job Title: Therapy Aide | Inpatient Physical Therapy | Bemidji
Department : Inpatient Physical Therapy - Therapy & Rehabilitation - Bemidji
Job Schedule: PRN
Hours Per Shift: 8 hr
Assists patients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of a physical therapist, to improve patients' quality of life and ability to perform daily activities.
Provides, monitors and records therapy services for patients suffering from physical, or developmental impairments, in line with related standard concepts, practices and procedures. Documents patients' progress and adjusts treatments as needed under supervision with the licensed Physical Therapist as appropriate. Prepares equipment and materials for treatment; assists patients and provides encouragement to make sure that they correctly perform treatments. As needed, performs other related duties as requested.
Demonstrates understanding of patient assessment and therapy implementation.;Identifies common patient safety risks within the organization and how they can be avoided.;Identifies the sufficient inventory levels required for patient safety and operational efficiency.;Knowledge of the value of self-motivation and initiative; ability and willingness to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals.;Maintains a high standard in relation to infection control for patient safety.;Establishes and maintains productive working relationships within and outside of own area.;
The Therapy Aide can expect to work mostly Saturday's, while also filling in occasionally during the week.
High School Diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of employment.
