JOB SUMMARY

Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Intern will work closely with leadership from Women's and Children's service line with a primary focus on project management for service line and also for our Medication Assisted Therapy clinic. Intern will attend meeting, take notes, input collected data, and assist the leadership team with administrative duties. Intern will have the opportunity to work alongside Service Line leadership and interact with multiple departments throughout the organization which include but is not limited to Human Resources, Finance, clinical and non-clinical areas. Will gain additional experience in time management, professional communication skills, and interpersonal growth. Grant was recently awarded to expand services in our Medication Assisted Therapy clinic. Intern would assist with project reports, coordination of meetings (scheduling, agenda, and minutes). In addition we are in the process of applying for two other large grants where this individual may assist with administrative duties associated with these projects. Director of service line also coordinates large projects that impacts multiple departments within Sanford Bemidji. Intern will assist with word processing, data collection, data entry and project management. Business or Healthcare major preferred. Must have strong communication skills and Microsoft proficiency, with time management skills and be self-driven. The intern must commit to the hours scheduled during the 12 week internship.

Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Researches business related data and generates and interprets basic analytics. Collaborates with departmental associates and management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university. Business or Healthcare major preferred. Individual should have strong communication skills, be punctual, have time management skills, and be self-driven. Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
