Sanford Bemidji Hospital - Intern will be assisting the Facilities department with a multitude of different maintenance type jobs within the footprint of the main hospital. Primary responsibilities will be to help improve the logistics of the department by improving the inventory processes and assessing the departments current/future tooling needs. Sanford Senior Services - Intern will be assisting the Facilities department located at Woodsedge and Lakeside campuses with an array of maintenance. Primary responsibilities will be to help improve the logistics of the department by improving the inventory processes and assessing the departments current/future tooling needs. The working environment of both locations is is friendly, clean, and will be indoors. Daily operations will consist of meeting with the department manager and supervisor to review tasks for the day. Intern will begin the morning by assessing departmental inventory parts needs. Once the needs are and then making any necessary parts runs or orders. Once daily orders are filled the intern will then begin working on an inventory management plan generated by facilities manager and supervisor. Intern will also have the ability to work with HVAC technicians, Master Plumber, Master Electrician, and Boiler Operators in order to gain knowledge and experience on multiple different trades.
Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.
High School Diploma
Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, and general maintenance is preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
