Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Registered | HCA Sleep Store | Bemidji

Job Schedule: Full Time
Hours Per Shift: 8 hr
This position will primarily be working inside the sleep center. A successful applicant would be teaching the use of PAP equipment and doing PAP mask fittings as well as problem solving. There is also some home oxygen therapy work and occasionally on call. Must be an excellent communicator and work well with people. A few home visits will need to be done. On call one week in 7 to 9 weeks.
Must have current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Must have RRT credentials as attained through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within six months of employment and maintain active status according to NBRC credentialing requirements. Certification in Basic Life Support is required. Must obtain role specific specialty credential(s) such as NRP, ACLS, PALS, etc. within 6 months of hire into position and maintain credentials. A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program is required; minimum associate degree or the equivalent. Respiratory Therapists must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for quality care.
