Assist in providing diagnostic radiographic procedures according to standards and guidelines. Provide quality patient care by performing any of the following technical services according to standards and guidelines: radiology; ECG/EKG, Holter, and event monitor testing; phlebotomy duties; and/or other clerical/technical duties. Support the general, ultrasound, and mammography technologists. Responsible for film filing functions. Able to perform reception duties including clerical and filing to include reports into patient charts, locating, retrieving and delivering patient records when needed. Serves as an ambassador of goodwill in providing department services to all clinical and non-clinical personnel.
Performs the technical procedures involved with developing the latent image on radiographic film. Files films/reports, as necessary. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
Nurse's Aide training preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One year clerical experience, preferably medical, and/or equivalent applicable experience. Knowledge of standard office and administrative procedures and basic office equipment, as well as medical terminology is required. Basic data entry and word processing skills required. Oral and written communication skills sufficient to provide routine information, greet visitors, answer inquiries, and refer calls.
