Job Title: Optometrist | Ophthalmology | Bemidji, MN

Job Schedule: Full Time
Hours Per Shift: 8 hr
Conducts basic tests and examinations on patients' eye sight and visual system; provides care for patients to improve their vision health. Testing patients' sights and examining patients visual system to diagnose and determine patients' visual condition and eye diseases, using observation, instruments and pharmacodiagnosis. Prescribing eyeglasses, contact lenses and vision treatment plans according to patients' eye condition. Counseling and educating patients on the appropriate use of contact lenses, visual hygiene and the chronic conditions to promote eye health; referring the patients to ophthalmologist if necessary. Recording and documenting patients' eye health progress information for evaluation; establishing therapeutic plans and modifying them if necessary.
Current licensure in the state of practice is required. DEA certification, if applicable, is required in the state of practice. Incumbent must be a graduate of an accredited College of Optometry and have completed an internship.
