Job Title: Mammography Technologist (PRN) | Mammography | Bemidji, MN

Hours Per Shift: 8 hr
Operates mammography equipment and performs various mammography-related examinations to produce radiograph images for clinical screening and diagnostic purposes. Ensures accurate body positioning and provides mammograms to women under direct supervision. Implements radiation safety standards and relevant policies into imaging practices. Processes and evaluates the technical quality of images, such as density contrast, definition and distortion. Checks and adjusts equipment regularly to ensure their functionality. Delivers care and support services to clients before, during and after mammogram procedures, e.g. explaining procedures, answering inquiries, etc. Maintains records and files associated with mammography. Educates women on breast self-examinations and the importance of mammography in preventing breast cancer.
Must be registered by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist). Must become certified in Mammography within one year of being hired. Associates working in mobile unit must have valid drivers license and a good driving record. Must have completed an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must have experience in mammography to include 40 hours of continuing education and 40 hours of supervised patient care. Must have a thorough understanding of mammography techniques and procedures.
