Job Summary

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health is a broad role that encompasses oversight of operations within an assigned department and providing clinical support, as needed. The Supervisor of Behavioral Health has awareness of daily staffing levels and schedules staff to meet productivity. Responsible for hiring, promotions, job changes, employee development, and performance reviews. Facilitates new employee orientation and onboarding. May facilitate provider enrollment and credentialing for new employees, as needed. Participates in the development of employees.

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health may be responsible for disciplinary action for employees within the team, escalates staffing issues to senior leaders, as needed. Promotes self-care for staff through mindful scheduling of patients and check-ins with staff.

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health may be responsible for program development and evaluation of program effectiveness, depending on setting. Develops, reviews, and revises policies and procedures. Assists in assuring regulatory compliance. Responsible for quality assurance and administrative reporting. May be responsible for following up on facility incidents. Represents the organization and the department in the community through collaborative meetings, boards or task forces.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Clinical Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related human service field or six year's related experience required; Master's degree preferred; graduation from an accredited school preferred.

Must possess a valid driver's license. Must maintain a good driving record.
