Responsible to promote and support the work of clinical standardization. Support the clinical needs which includes soliciting input from clinical stakeholders on clinical practice guidelines and standard treatment regimens, summarizing literature review to promote evidence based care, educating and implementing new guidelines and regimens, monitoring progress on the use of these guidelines and regimens and reporting out on compliance. Provide support in the clinical standardization initiatives as well as guidance for leaders when faced with barriers during the implementation of a guideline, standard treatment regimen or new clinical practice. Produce and assist in the production of committees, reports, dashboards, and related correspondence as needed. Accountable to develop programmatic planning and project coordination to achieve the strategic goals related to clinical standardization. Project planning and management includes: development of specific short and long term goals and objectives, determination of workflow and work design, proactive analysis of impact of workflow on desired outcomes for effectiveness and efficiency, identification of resource needs, development and presentation of proposals to administrative and leadership for approval, determination of pre and post metrics to monitor success, education and mentoring for staff for implementation, and monitoring of project implementation.
Implements programs as needed to comply with diverse healthcare laws or regulations. Helps promote collaboration across generations, functions, regions, and levels. Facilitates communication and building trust activities with employees and managers while maintaining confidentiality. Documents established audit processes, practices and procedures. Develops a culture in which all members work constructively to improve the performance of individuals and the team. Delivers written and oral communication, responds to questions and concerns, and produce specific outcomes and impact. Compares key metrics against benchmarks and goals so as to keep pace with improvement opportunities. Assesses the results of a training needs analysis initiative conducted within a department or function. Analyzes policy and standards documentation and ensures organizational compliance. Redesigns or enhances business processes to meet regulatory requirements. Presents a professional image, especially when dealing with customers
Bachelor's Degree in nursing is required. Master's degree preferred.
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Minimum of five years of clinical experience. Previous leadership/management experience preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Quality improvement/assurance personnel with nursing backgrounds can maintain their license without seeking additional hours based on role’s responsibilities.
