LPN: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists in implementing the nursing process throughout the care continuum under the direction of the registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, or licensed practitioner. This practice includes dependent and interdependent functions.
CMA: Responsible for assisting physicians and advanced practice nurses with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
LPN and CMA: Responsible for chart management and occasional appointment scheduling and medical test scheduling. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from clinic services. Assists all staff in coordinating patient care. Conveys a positive image of clinic. May be assigned to specific medical specialty to help with patient care related to that specialty.
This is a part-time position, 48 hours every pay period, day shifts. Can fill position with either a LPN or CMA.
Must have graduated from a school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Associate's degree in practical nursing is preferred.
Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility.
Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice.
CMA: Successful completion of Medical Assistant course. Maintains professional certification through American Association of Medical Assistants.
