Job Title: Paramedic | Ambulance | Worthington

Job Schedule: Full Time
Hours Per Shift: 12 hr
Responds immediately to emergency calls; provides medical support and care for patients in the pre-hospital environment. Assesses emergency medical calls to identify patient needs and requirements and to determine best course of action. Provides advanced medical care and basic life support service to patients, using appropriate medical equipment, devices and treatment modalities. Communicates with receiving facility to get medical direction and to provide patientΓÇÖs status and other critical information. Assists with patient care in the receiving facility; lifting and moving patients as required.
Work hours will vary dependent on patient needs. This may include overtime, call, night, days, weekends, holidays and floating.
Current valid Minnesota PAR Certification. Current ACLS/BLS/PHTLS, NRP and PALS. Hold current valid driverΓÇÖs license. High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from an accredited paramedic program. Continuing education: CEHΓÇÖs as mandated by accreditation. General hospital and departmental orientation and training. Mandatory in-services, staff meetings and workshops per hospital policy. Training in ICS 100,200 and 700; decontamination. Encouraged to be certified in a specialty area and participate in professional memberships.
