JOB SUMMARY

Direct contact and is responsible for the delivery and documentation of specific psychiatric rehabilitative services in an Intensive Residential Treatment Services facility to adult clients with mental illness. Responsible for monitoring the safety and whereabouts of all residents in the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid class D driver's license. Must maintain a good driving record. Must meet DHS requirements of an Overnight Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker by one of the following: (i) is at least 21 years of age; (ii) has a high school diploma or equivalent; (iii) has successfully completed 30 hours of training during the two years immediately prior to the date of hire, or before provision of direct services, in all of the following areas: recipient rights, recipient-centered individual treatment planning, behavioral terminology, mental illness, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, psychotropic medications and side effects, functional assessment, local community resources, adult vulnerability, and recipient confidentiality. Must have good human relations and communication skills. Must be able to follow procedures and instructions given by the supervisory staff. Must be able to acquire a basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology and equipment within the assigned service area.
