EXPECTED HOURS

Full-time, 80 hours per two week pay period. 8:00-5:30 pm Monday-Friday

JOB SUMMARY

Registers patients and takes care of related paperwork and administrative requirements of the healthcare facility. Providing clerical and secretarial duties, including patient admissions functions, bed assignments, completion of preliminary paperwork for entering patients, etc. Entering patient information into computerized system of the healthcare facility for tracking purposes. Verifying insurance or provider information and adhering to admitting policies and procedures. Assisting medical, nursing and accounting staff in ensuring appropriate patient placement.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedules appointments and takes care of related paperwork and administrative requirements of the health care facility.Provides clerical and secretarial duties, including patient admission functions, and completion of preliminary paperwork for patient. Entering patient information into a computerized system of the facility for tracking purposes. May verify insurance or provider information and adhering to admitting policies and procedures. Scheduling procedures and taking messages for providers. Collaborate patients care with other departments and facilities, including outside transfers to Sanford for care. Work closely with the procedural area as well as the IR clinic to coordinate care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prefer one year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office setting
