JOB SUMMARY

Provides professional dental assisting care for patients of all ages following established standards and practices. Excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Responsible for performing all dental assisting duties in accordance with the rules and regulations of the state specific Board of Dentistry. Perform all duties in accordance with the rules and regulations of the state Board of Dentistry. Knowledge and ability to perform clinical emergency procedures. Ability to implement policies, procedures and treatment guidelines. Assist providers directly in all phases of dental care delivery. Knowledge to properly maintain patient care related equipment, supplies and processes. Ability to use appropriate systems, automated or manual, to maintain accurate patient records and other information. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, dental staff and the public. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

64 hours every 2 weeks. Typical hours will be Monday 10:00am-8:00pm & Tuesday - Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm. 8-10 hours shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a registered dental assistant in the State of Minnesota, RDA. Must fulfill annual continuing education requirements of the department and facility including departmental meetings, safety education and mandatory in-services. Must meet continuing Graduate of an accredited school of dental assisting. One year of professional dental assisting experience preferred.
