JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for continued communication with the physician group at Sanford. Has an instrumental role in building and maintaining the relationship between Sanford physicians and Sanford Health. Requires excellent organizational, communication and technological skills.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages and coordinates all onboarding activities for medical staff. This includes the coordinating of pre-boarding, orientation, ongoing integration and retention processes. Coordinates orientation schedules and planning processes with subject matter experts and presenters in the local region. Collaborates with enterprise lead and other regional leads to ensure continues improvement of the onboarding, orientation and integration process of new providers/physicians. Ensure documentation of procedures/processes meet compliance with regulatory agencies, and appropriately communicates with department leadership on any issues needing follow-up. Coordinates monthly networking sessions with new providers/physicians. Ensures check-ins conducted with new providers/physicians over the first year of practice. Manages evaluation feedback and collection of data for process improvement. Plans and implements physician recognition and retention events, including the annual Welcome and Recognition Night, Doctor Day, Years of Service awards, and other departmental and full medical staff social events. Coordinates activities to support the welcome of new provider/physician spouses and family members into the community and into the Sanford Health organization. Manages provider off-boarding - including exit process, patient letters, retirement parties. Oversees locum tenens modified orientation process.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in nursing, allied health or healthcare administration degree is required. Post-secondary education or equivalent training in a health-care or business related field is required; At least three years of applicable experience; previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Must have excellent knowledge of community and surrounding areas. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required. Must possess strong skill in communication with medical staff, including knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of clinical settings.
